Jesus said, ‘When you make the two one, you will become sons of man. And when you say, “Mountain, move away,” it will move.’
Interpretation
Compare Saying 48. While ‘sons’ is plural, indicating this is not the messianic title ‘son of man’, the word ‘man’ is singular, showing this is not referring to any father-figure (as ‘sons of men’ is used in Saying 28 and Mark 3.28–29). The distinction in this phrasing is intentional: the ‘man’ is specifically that first man as he existed prior to the creation of Eve. When the person becomes like the non-binary first man, they will become ‘sons of man’.

Mark
11.22–24 Jesus answered them, ‘Have faith in God. Truly I tell you, if you say to this mountain, “Be taken up and thrown into the sea,” and if you do not doubt in your heart, but believe that what you say will come to pass, it will be done for you. So I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.’
